Norridgewock lies on the Kennebec River in the southern part of Somerset county. The township is somewhat larger than the standard size, having an area of about 16,000 acres. The name Norridgewock, meaning “smooth water between the rapids or falls”, is said to be derived from a tribe of Native Americans whom inhabited these lands.
Norridgewock is just 28 miles north of Augusta, Maine’s capitol.
Our mission is to promote a positive business environment that contributes to the community and economic vitality of the Norridgewock area.
